Netsurfer announces strong finish

Self-provisioning and ongoing subscriber management software prove popular with growing numbers of Internet access providers, including those in emerging markets

ATLANTA (February 21, 2000) — Netsurfer, Inc., a leading supplier of software that simplifies Internet subscription, set-up, and ongoing subscriber management, announced today its customer numbers for the final quarter of the year ending on December 31, 1999.

"We are very pleased with the growth we experienced this quarter and throughout this year," said Scott Williford, Netsurfer executive vice president. "Our final numbers indicate that the 550 Internet access providers currently using NetKit represent nearly three and a half million end users. These numbers reflect a near doubling of sales between our second and fourth quarters."

Netsurfer’s consistent growth can be partly attributed to the company’s increased focus on international markets, "free ISPs," and broadband access/service providers. This focus has enabled Netsurfer to form business relationships with several key access providers in rapidly emerging markets.

"We continue to add upper-tier access providers to our clientele," Williford said. "Gaining these types of customers in markets other than domestic dial-up has positioned us for even further growth acceleration."
